Kinross Raceway Park (formerly Kinross International Speedway and Kinross Speedway) has been a hub for stock car racing in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula since the early 1990s. Designed to serve the local community and the nearby Canadian Sault area, the racetrack has become a cornerstone of motorsport entertainment in the region.
In the early '90s, New Era Motorsports, a group of dedicated local businessmen, turned the dream of a stock car racing venue into reality. The project moved from planning to construction with support from the Kinross Township Board and was completed during the summer of 1995. The track's debut race during the Chippewa County Fair marked the area's first stock car event since the late 1980s.
Kinross Raceway Park features a 1,550-foot-long track with a distinct concave racing surface. Paved by Smith Paving of Marquette, the design incorporates a 3-degree slope on the inside and up to a 12-degree slope on the outside corners. This innovative layout allows for high-speed competition, with Late Model cars reaching over 100 MPH on straightaways. Racers praise the track as one of the best short tracks, offering thrilling experiences for drivers and fans alike.
For decades, Kinross Raceway Park has provided fun, family-oriented entertainment throughout the summer months. While racing divisions have evolved, the excitement and community spirit remain constant.
Whether you're a die-hard racing fan or looking for family-friendly summer activities in Michigan, Kinross Raceway Park promises high-octane excitement and cherished memories. Stay updated on upcoming races, events, and tickets on our website or social media channels.
